Fore!
The Race to Dubai continues on the European Tour. A big congratulations to England’s Eddie Pepperell, winner of last week’s British Masters. This week, the tour heads for Sotogrande, Spain for the Andalucia Valderrama Masters hosted by the Sergio Garcia Foundation at the Real Club Valderrama.
The PGA Tour is still in Asia, this time teeing it up at the Nine Bridges Golf Club on Jeju Island in South Korea where the pros will battle it out for the CJ Cup. A big congratulations to last week’s winner at the CIMB Classic, Australia’s Marc Leishman.
Here are my picks for this week.
European Fantasy Golf:
Robert Rock (England)
Matthew Southgate (England)
Shane Lowry (Ireland)
Sergio Garcia (Spain) *****
Julien Guerrier (France)
Christiaan Bezuidenhout (South Africa)
Rocky’s been playing pretty darn good as of late, so I made sure and selected him. The same for Matthew. As for my other picks, Serigio is a no-brainer, but I’m a bit worried if he’ll be slightly tired since he’s the tournament host. We’ll have to wait and see. I chose Shane again since he performed not too shabby at the British Masters. Julien and Christiaan have been lurking around on the leaderboard, so I chose them.
PGA Fantasy:
Jason Day (Australia)
Hideki Matsuyama (Japan)
Brooks Koepka (USA)
Emiliano Grillo (Argentina)
Benched:
Brandt Snedeker (USA)
Troy Merritt (USA)
I chose Hideki because he always performs well across the ocean. Jason and Brooks are no-brainers. They are part of the golfing elite. As for Emiliano, he’s been lurking around on the leaderboard, so I picked him.
For the PGA One and Done, I went with Gary Woodland. This guy is due for a win. He’s been playing awesome.
