Fore!

This week, the European Tour is hosting the Nordea Masters at Hills Golf & Sports Club in Gothenburg, Sweden.  On this side of the pond, the PGA Tour will be teeing it up at the at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina.

For the PGA, the countdown has begun to see who will earn enough points to play in the the prestigious Fed-Ex Cup playoffs.  Spain’s Sergio Garcia is one of those who hovers on the line, and he’ll be playing in South Carolina this weekend.

Here are my fantasy golf picks for this weekend’s tournaments.

European Fantasy (Nordea Masters):

Matthew Southgate (England) ****
Bradley Dredge (Wales)
Alexander Bjork (Sweden)
Thomas Detry (Belgium)
Andrea Pavan (Italy)
Richard Green (Australia)

I get double the points if Matthew wins, and I chose Matthew because he’s the most consistent on the course when it comes to finishing positions at tournaments.  The others are also consistent players who usually make the cut and finish in the top twenty-five on leaderboards.

PGA Fantasy Golf (Wyndham Championship):

Matthew Fitzpatrick (England)
Henrik Stenson (Sweden)
Jamie Lovemark (USA)
Russell Henley (USA)
Benched:
Rory Sabbatini (South Africa)
Ryan Moore (USA)

I’m a bit iffy on my picks LOL.  My fingers are crossed because it’s hard for me to guess who has a chance to win.  We’ll see come Sunday evening if I picked correctly.

For the PGA One and Done, I went with Rafa Cabrera-Bello (Spain).

Golf Channel Fantasy (Wyndham Championship):

Daniel Berger (USA)
Joaquin Niemann (Chile)
Scott Piercy (USA)
Vaughn Taylor (USA)
Tom Lovelady (USA)
Jonas Blixt (Sweden)

For the Golf Channel One and Done, I chose Brendan Steele.  For some reason I do feel quite confident about Brendan.  His performance has been great as of late.  I’m thinking he has a chance at winning.

Unfortunately, I won’t have time to watch the Wyndham, because I’ll be watching the Nordea Masters.  There is only so much time allowed for me to watch golf LOL.  I wish I could watch every tournament, but life says differently.
