December is I :::Heart::: the Holidays month at my blog. During these next twenty-two days, besides the usual blog posts, I’m featuring authors who write holiday romance. Today, I have Robecca Austin in the interview chair. We’re discussing The Christmas Gift, book nine in the Curves for Christmas series. Be sure to check out the excerpt.

1. What draws you to writing holiday romance?
Robecca: I love the season. When couples fall in love, get married, or have babies during the holidays everything seems magical. Granted, it might be the colorful lights and snow fall talking, but I think that’s part of the charm.
2. How many holiday romances have you written so far? And which one would you recommend for readers to try, besides the one you are featuring? Feel free to leave a link.
Robecca: The Christmas Gift is my first. The Billionaire Touch will be my second and that story comes out in December 2021. So if you enjoy The Christmas Gift and want to read another character’s story (Spencer), you’ll enjoy this one.
3. What do you like most about writing holiday romance?
Robecca: I like discovering how my chapters will celebrate. It’s easy to imagine everyone around a tree filled with gifts, but there are so many ways to celebrate. Most of all though, I like discovering how my character’s past influences their holidays.
4. What do you like least about writing holiday romance?
Robecca: I don’t enjoy writing the sad bits, but I do have to write it because those nuggets makes the hero and heroine stronger.
5. What inspired you to write your featured holiday story?
Robecca: I’d say the trope. The Christmas Gift is a novella, but not quite love at first sight romance. I’ve always wanted to write a one night stand novel, but then I kept tossing complications in my character’s way. Let me tell you, I have loads of fun doing that.
6. If a reader asked you why they should read your holiday romance, what would you tell them?
Robecca: The Christmas Gift is a light hearted billionaire romance. Two characters that aren’t looking for love are drawn together by an unexpected pregnancy.
7. Lastly, how are you going to spend the holidays?
Robecca: I’m going to spend the holidays with family. I usually host dinner. For the second year, our gathering will remain small.

The Christmas gift he didn’t know he needed.
Ivy
It was supposed to be a one-night stand. A hot night of sweaty indulgence with a man she’d vetted. A man she could play with and then walk away from, someone who ticked all her boxes. Instead, she was facing off with Corin, a man who hijacked all her rules and made her knees weak.
When the pregnancy stick turns pink eight weeks later, all her carefully laid plans go down in flames.
Starting over in a big city is no challenge for Ivy. She’s intelligent, successful, and can readily form a plan. Too bad her strategy didn’t involve her new boss turning out to be her baby’s father.
Cor
Straight-laced and uptight ought to be kryptonite to Corin’s carefree, love-them-and-leave-them lifestyle. Yet, the memory of the one night with a mystery woman haunts him. When he’s finally convinced himself his memories of that night are overblown, she turns up at his firm with the Christmas gift he didn’t know he needed.

Ivy
The most swoony man Ivy Collymore had ever met, dropped himself into the brown leather seat on the opposite side of the booth. She’d already ticked and double-checked her list for the perfect casual set-up, and this man wasn’t the person she’d planned to meet.
From under her lashes, she took in his sleek man-bun and the open collar of his shirt, then bit the inside of her cheek when he caught her staring. He was even brazen enough to smile knowingly.
“Mind if I sit here?”
Before she answered, he picked up the menu. Her gaze followed his smooth movements as he got more comfortable, loosening the button to his suit jacket.
Drat! At the purr of his Southern drawl, her legs clenched to stop the unexpected pulsing between her thighs, but her body had other ideas as it continued humming. She shouldn’t have looked at him twice. His type—with his playboy carefree vibes—wasn’t on her carefully constructed agenda for the evening. She needed a one-night stand she could have fun with and walk away from, not to be another name on a scorecard of some overly cocky guy.
He arched a brow when she didn’t answer.
She did mind. He could have chosen any one of the three lounges in the hotel. With his sexy-as-hell close-shaven jaw and raven-black hair, he was going to intimidate the hell out of her date when he showed up.
Politeness won…barely. “The seat’s empty.”
Why did his eyes have to be equally alluring? Not that weak brown that faded in light, but cocoa bean brown. Those eyes were now aimed in her direction.
