Welcome to my twelfth edition of Muse Monday. It’s a chance for a character who inspires me to guest on the blog. Instead of a guest post today, I have Chassis, the silent and deadly hero from my m/m dystopian romance, Twisted Beauty, in the interview chair. Check out what Chassis has to say.

1. Okay, I decided to do “interview” style for you since you don’t like to say much and refused my guest post offer. Let’s start by telling everyone who you are and what role you play in the novel.
Chassis: I’m Chassis. I guess I’m one of the heroes.
2. That was short and sweet. Let’s move on to your hobbies and interests, and why you enjoy them.
Chassis: I have none. Remember, this is a dystopian world, and I live on the highway.
3. True. Okay, how do you feel about being in a novel, and if you are happy with how your author presented you to readers?
Chassis: I don’t care to have my private life on display, but since it is, I believe the author did a good job.
4. If your author were to create another novel with you in mind, give us a quick blurb of what it would be about. And be sure to give the title.
Chassis: There won’t be another novel. One was enough.
5. I figured you’d say that. Let’s talk about other characters. Which one do you like the most, and why?
Chassis: Hunter. It’s pretty self-explanatory in the novel why I like him.
6. Which character in the novel do you dislike the most, and why?
Chassis: Justice. He’s a piece of shit.
7. Is there anything else you’d like to add?
Chassis: No.
Well, that was a rather short interview. But trust me, Chassis does talk in the novel. He is quite talkative with Hunter. Hunter is the only one who can reach inside of Chassis and find something. I guess I can’t LOL.

His community or his enemy. He can’t have both.
Deep in the badlands, long after the fall of modern civilization, Hunter patrols the area as the war chief for his Lakota community. His latest mission is to hunt down a marauder who robbed his neighbors of their precious goods. He’ll act as this man’s judge, jury, and executioner.
Having lost everything at his former Ojibway encampment, Chassis is far from home. He wanders the badlands, a grim reaper bringing death to those with what he needs to survive. But there is one man courageous enough to challenge him.
When the duo faces off, neither expects the sizzling chemistry to erupt between them, nor for their duel to touch what both have denied themselves. Now they must choose to either remain together and sacrifice their beliefs, or go their separate ways, losing what they’ve spent their lives searching for—love.
