Welcome to my ninth edition of Muse Monday. It’s a chance for a character who inspires me to guest on the blog. Instead of a guest post today, I have Shannon Nadjwon, the ambitious and no-nonsense heroine from His Proposition, in the interview chair. Check out what Shannon has to say.

1. First off, tell us who you are and what role you play in the novel.
Shannon: My name is Shannon Nadjiwon, and I’m a driver for a limo company. My boss has given me a big opportunity to drive for the Daugherty family, one of the wealthiest and most powerful families in Canada. I’ll be driving their youngest son. I’m looking forward to this opportunity because it will allow me a chance to obtain a reference from the elder Mr. Daugherty, which will, hopefully, help me move closer to my goal of owning my own limo company.
2. Share with us your hobbies and interests, and why you enjoy them.
Shannon: I wish I had more time for hobbies and interests. But trying to get ahead and save money, along with contributing to my share of expenses for the townhouse I own with my two besties, means work, work, and more work. But when I manage to squeak in some free time, I enjoy going out for dinner with my friends or heading back home to the rez to visit my family.
3. Tell us how you feel about being in a novel, and if you are happy with how your author presented you to readers.
Shannon: I think Maggie did a good job. I’m pleased with how she presented me. She kept my strengths front and center, but also allowed me moments of vulnerability. I also love the arc she gave me.
4. If your author were to create another novel with you in mind, give us a quick blurb of what it would be about. And be sure to give the title.
Shannon: Seriously? One novel was enough LOL. I’m not the kind of person who puts my life online through social media. I keep on the downlow, especially for my job. But if there were to be a new novel, I’d tell her to give one for either Pashney or Ronnie (my two besties), who I think deserve a story of their own. I’d love to see a man try and tame Pashney. Yes, Maggie could call it The Taming of Pashney. As for the blurb, they’d meet on one of her towing jobs. He’d be a rich doctor. LOL.
5. Which character in the novel do you like the most, and why?
Shannon: My two besties, of course. They are very supportive of me. Just as I’m supportive of them. We grew up on the rez together, and we know what it’s like to come from nothing. Trying to make it in the big city isn’t easy. Pashney and Ronnie always have my back, and I always have theirs. Mind you, they don’t approve of Séamus, which makes his proposition all the more difficult.
6. Which character in the novel do you dislike the most, and why?
Shannon: Séamus’ father, of course. What kind of man gives their own flesh and blood that kind of ultimatum? And then leaves him with no choice but to do what he has to do?
7. Is there anything else you’d like to add?
Shannon: I think you covered just about everything. Thanks for the interview. I hope I wasn’t too abrupt with my answers, but that’s the kind of person that I am LOL.

Her biggest dream’s offered on a platter, but the clincher is, she has to marry a perfect stranger.
When her employer offers the no-nonsense Shannon Nadjiwon the position of chauffeuring Séamus Daugherty, she jumps at the chance. To work for one of Toronto’s most powerful families means she can make her biggest dream of owning a fleet of limos come true, something her female relations tooling away at her Ojibway community want badly for her, and she won’t let them down.
His reckless need for speed cost Séamus Daugherty his license. If he doesn’t marry, as demanded by his overbearing father, he will lose not only his lucrative job with the family business—the only positive aspect in Séamus’ gilded cage life—but everything Daugherty.
The unpretentious and gorgeous Shannon will make the perfect bride, and Séamus is ready to strike a deal with her, one that will ensure he keeps everything he holds dear if she puts a wedding ring on her finger. However, they face three big obstacles: His family, her family, and a marriage neither truly wants, leaving both wondering if the sizzling sexual chemistry and cozy rapport they share is enough to create a happily ever after.
