Blurb: Luca would sacrifice anything to save Giada. But when his worst nightmare nearly comes true, Luca realizes he can’t always save the woman he loves.

As Giada fights to survive, Luca’s relief is short-lived. He struggles to find purpose in a world where Giada doesn’t remember him—let alone love him. Giada finds herself navigating an unfamiliar, terrifying reality where she’s torn between trusting her heart and her mind.

****

I’ve been faithfully reading and reviewing this series, and this is the seventh book.  Faith starts with Luca and Giada enjoying a car ride when the unthinkable happens.  Well, I shouldn’t say unthinkable because he does have a sketchy job, so the unthinkable should be expected.

This is my first time reading a book about amnesia, which happens to Gia.  She can recall everything about her life except falling in love with and marrying Luca.  There is also a new character introduced who I really enjoyed:  Melissa.  She is Gia’s doctor, and Adrian has fallen for her.

As always, the writing is excellent.  I enjoyed the amount of faith Luca and Gia had to find to survive the latest wrench thrown into their lives.  I don’t want to say what happened, but it was heartwarming to read how the duo handled this situation.

I also enjoyed the romance between Adrian and Melissa.  Will their newfound relationship last?  Or will Adrian’s bitterness over losing Gia to Luca end a great chance at Adrian to fall in love again?  I don’t know.  It’s not looking too good, though.

The ending wasn’t a big surprise for me, because the author left a trail of breadcrumbs.  I will say I am still not sure who hurt Giada.

The Mafiosa Princess series is a great read. Do yourself a favour and get the seventh book.  If you are new to the series, start with the first book.
