1. First, what’s your favourite scene in the book? Not in regards to writing, but reading, and why?
Janae: The scene after Trouble faces off with the goatman and she goes to Xaivier’s house. Anytime Xaivier flirts with Trouble is hot. I mean come on: he looks like Superman, he’s a billionaire, he’s muscular and he speaks French to her. How can you hate that scene. I love it. Gives me butterflies everytime.
2. If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything in your book?
Janae: I probably would change the length of it. I am pretty wordy. But I loved every minute of writing that book. It is my first and it was great. I also might cut down on some of the pet names. I just got a review where the woman got lost by the names and she gave me a three star. Not bad but I want people to love my book AND understand it.
3. What do you love most about your two main characters?
Janae: The fact that they’ve been together for 7 years is amazing. That they met as teenagers and matured together is great. It makes for interesting writing and incidents.
4. What makes you want to shake your two main characters?
Because they’ve spent so much time together they tend to butt heads because they are both dominant personalities. I want them to learn to take a knee on some of their stupid arguments.
5. If you could spend time with one character from your book, who would it be? And what would you do during that day?
Janae: Trouble. I would love to go around Perrish and have her tell me about it from her perspective. She grew up on the streets and she’s probably has some awesome stories of survival. Then we’d go drink and dance at Church, her club.
6. If your two main characters dined together, what would they cook up? It can be breakfast, lunch, dinner, or even a snack.
Janae: In that scene I mentioned earlier they had meatloaf and 4 cheese macaroni.
7. How did you come up with the title of your book?
Janae: It took forever to come up with the title. Lol. I named it that because that is what starts the book off. Well… technically the seer speaks the prophecy but I was referring to the seer that come after her and is also a witch. Funnily enough Kav’raina was inspired by
Marie Laveau. She’s a famous witch from Louisiana and my family is from that state.
8. If your book was made into a film, who would you like to play the leads?
Janae: Lol. I would want to play Trouble and Henry Cavill would play Xaivier. But the Superman I based Xaivier on wasn’t Henry’s. It was Christopher Reeves. Everyone’s too old for the roles and of course Christopher past away. So oh well.
9. If a reader asked you why they should read your book, what would you tell them?
Janae: If you want to be entertained for a few days with sorcery, swearing and steamy love scenes with lots of action then you should read my book. Don’t take it too seriously because its not meant for that. Don’t get caught up on little things like names that don’t matter. You’ll get it. Then get ready for Book Two.
10. What can we expect from you in the future?
Janae: Book Two is coming out next year. But this year I am putting out two serial books of the same series––The Lunar Prophecy Series. Its about an amnesiac mysterious woman that is found by a Alpha pack leader after she escapes the Vampire King. It’s a grown up Twilight mixed with Game of Thrones. It will have 6 installments coming out every three weeks apart from each other starting Dec. 2 of this year.

Pity. It’s on Tuesday.

We’d followed Remington down endless stairs. I worried for him, but he descended with ease. Once we reached the bottom, he walked without shuffling. I bit my tongue as we followed him into an inner room. There were older men seated at a table in front of two locked doors.
“Gentlemen, he is here,” Remington announced. His voice sounded younger, and his hair morphed from white to black. When he turned, he wasn’t an older man any longer. He looked to be in his early 30s.
“This is like an acid trip,” Zan whispered.
The men rose, and they too changed with each step towards me.
“It’s been too long sir,” one man with red hair and beard said as he shook my hand.
“You look good son,” another said. This man had black hair and bared a striking resemblance to Clark Gable.
“Who are you guys?” I said as I shook the last man’s hand.
“We are the Guardians of the Stalphe legacy. Each generation we, like you, are reincarnated to aid you in battle and we keep this…” Remington patted the closed doors. “Safe for you.”
“All will be well now, Sir. You’ve come,” the shorter man with the enormous belly said, smiling broadly. He reminded me of the munchkins from the Wizard of Oz movie.
“The key, Master Stalphe,” Remington held out his hand. I passed it to him, and the shorter man removed a necklace from around his neck and handed a ring to me. It had a huge ruby and inside the ruby was a golden S. I slid it on my ring finger. It fit perfectly.
